How Blake Barnett can win the starting job for the Crimson Machine

Blake Barnett has a howitzer cannon for an arm. Out of the three quarterbacks in the hunt for the starting job, Blake has the strongest arm of them. He is capable of escaping blitzes and rushing for first downs because he has that ability much like Jake Coker did. Blake has proven he is able make simple throws and manage the game like Nick Saban wants. He flashed this talent in the spring game this year, driving the offense down the field and taking command of his huddle.

Here are some scenarios of how Blake can win the start:

First scenario:  If Blake comes out against USC, does not turn the ball over, drives his team down the field and scores touchdowns, if Jalen Hurts and Cooper Bateman have horrible outings, Blake would be just what Nick wants, a game manager who can take the top off a defense, and he will start for Kiffin's mighty crimson offense.

Second scenario: If Hurts or Bateman break a limb or worse. Blake will get the start by default because Cornwell is nursing an injury.

Third scenario: Nick Saban thinks Barnett is the best fit for his offense, annouces him as the starter for the season this week and the other guys never get a chance because Barnett averages over 400 passing yards and 3 touchdowns per game for the rest of the season.

Regardless, Blake Barnett is a tremendous talent and will have a chance to show that. Will he rise to the occasion or blow it?
